Terms and Conditions

Effective from 2 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you create an account or use our email, SMS, identity verification and business tools. Please read them. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

1. Who we are

odotservices is operated by CloudXpert Systems & OacSoft Technologies (BN001659), a business in Nigeria (“we”, “us”). Our office is at Plot 693 Obafemi Awolowo Way, Jabi District, Abuja, Nigeria. You can reach us at customersupport@odotservices.com.ng.

“You” means the person or business that creates an account, and anyone who uses the service through that account.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you are allowed to act for it.
  • Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. We may ask you to confirm your email address.
  • Keep your password and API keys secret. You are responsible for everything done with them. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
  • One person or business should not open several accounts to get around limits or free allowances.

3. What we provide

Through one account you can use: an email API and SMTP relay, SMS, identity verification (such as NIN, BVN, CAC, TIN and phone checks), webmail on your own domain, website widgets, automations, renewal reminders, a document builder and related tools. Some features need a paid plan or prepaid units.

We improve the service often. We may add, change or retire a feature. If we retire something you have paid for and not yet used, we will give you reasonable notice and a fair alternative or refund for the unused part.

4. Plans, prices and payment

  • Prices are in Nigerian Naira and are shown on the pricing page and in your dashboard before you pay.
  • Plans are paid in advance for the period you choose (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly). A plan ends at the end of its period unless you renew it or have switched on auto-renew.
  • SMS and identity verification are paid for with prepaid units. You can also keep a wallet balance and pay from it.
  • Payments are processed by licensed payment providers (currently Paystack and Squad). We do not receive or store your full card details.
  • We may change prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before it applies to you.
  • Coupons and promotions have their own conditions, shown when they are offered, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

5. Units, wallet and refunds

  • Each SMS and each identity verification request uses units at the price shown when you bought them. Each verification request uses one unit. If a request cannot be processed because of a technical failure, the unit is returned.
  • Units and wallet balance do not expire while your account is open. They can only be used on odotservices and cannot be transferred or withdrawn as cash.
  • Payments are not refundable once the plan has started or the units or wallet credit have been added, except where the law gives you that right.
  • If you were charged twice, charged in error, or we could not deliver what you paid for, write to customersupport@odotservices.com.ng within 14 days. We will put it right or refund you through the payment method you used.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.

6. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not use the service to:

  • send spam, or email or SMS to people who have not agreed to hear from you, or to bought, rented or scraped lists;
  • send phishing, fraud, malware, or content that is illegal, hateful, harassing or misleading;
  • pretend to be another person or organisation, or send from an address or domain you do not own or control;
  • verify someone’s identity without a lawful reason and, where the law requires it, their consent;
  • resell, publish or build a database from identity verification results;
  • break the law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, the Cybercrimes Act and telecommunications rules such as Do-Not-Disturb;
  • attack, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service, or get around its limits.

Marketing messages you send must say who they are from and give people a working way to stop them. We may limit sending, hold messages or suspend an account to protect recipients, our network and other customers.

7. Your content and your customers’ data

You keep ownership of the content you send and the data you upload. You give us permission to process it only as needed to provide the service to you.

For the personal data of your own customers and contacts (for example the people you email, text or verify), you are the data controller and we act as your data processor. How we handle that data, and what we each must do, is set out on the Data Protection page, which forms part of these terms. How we handle your own account data is in the Privacy Policy.

8. Identity verification

  • Results come from official and third-party sources. We pass them to you as received and cannot guarantee that a source is complete, correct or available at every moment.
  • A result is information to help your decision. You are responsible for the decisions you make with it.
  • Keep results confidential, use them only for the purpose you collected them for, and do not keep them longer than you need.

9. Affiliate program

If you join the affiliate program, the commission rates, ranks, holding periods and payout rules shown in your affiliate dashboard apply. We may withhold or reverse commission earned through fraud, self-referral, misleading advertising or refunded payments.

10. Availability and support

We work to keep the service available and to deliver messages quickly, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted. Delivery also depends on networks, mailbox providers and data sources that we do not control. We will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. Support is available at customersupport@odotservices.com.ng.

11. Our rights

The platform, its software, design, documentation and brand belong to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive right to use them while your account is open, for your own business. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

12. Suspension and closing your account

  • You can stop using the service or ask us to close your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, is used for fraud, or where the law requires it. Where it is safe to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
  • If we close your account when you have not broken these terms, we will refund your unused wallet balance.
  • After closure we delete or anonymise your data as described in the Privacy Policy, except what the law requires us to keep.

13. Our responsibility to you

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows:

  • the service is provided “as is”, without warranties that are not written in these terms;
  • we are not liable for loss of profit, business, goodwill or data, or for indirect loss;
  • our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event that caused the claim.

We do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

14. Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you sent, data you asked us to process without the right to, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs we incur as a result.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service or the law changes. We will post the new version here with its date. If a change is significant we will also tell you by email or in your dashboard before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that date, you accept the new terms.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, please write to us first so we can try to settle it. If we cannot settle it within 30 days, either of us may take it to the courts of Nigeria.
